  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 4-5 minutes until softened.
  2. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry; stir into apple mixture until thickened (about 1-2 minutes).
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Separate biscuit dough into individual pieces and flatten each to about 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Place about a tablespoon of cooled apple filling in the center of each flattened biscuit. Fold edges over filling and pinch to seal tightly.
  6. Dip each sealed bomb into melted butter, then roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
