  • 6-ounce can tomato paste
  • 15 ounces water
  • 2 cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed (15-ounce cans)
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 3 tablespoons cumin
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large Dutch oven over medium heat, sauté diced green peppers and onions until they are soft and translucent.
  2. Add your choice of ground beef or turkey to the pot; cook until browned.
  3. Stir in both canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and water; mix well.
  4. Incorporate the drained kidney beans and all spices; stir to combine.
