  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • â…“ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup blueberry pie filling (or homemade compote)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Roll out the sweet roll dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
  2. In a bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  4. Spoon and spread blueberry pie filling over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Roll the dough tightly from the long edge and cut it into 12 even pieces.
  6. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise until puffy.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Whisk powdered sugar and milk together for icing while rolls cool slightly.
  9. Drizzle icing over warm rolls before serving.
