  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp almond extract (optional)
  • 54 g (⅓ cup) Christmas jimmies sprinkles
  • 283 g (1¼ bricks / 10 oz) full-fat cream cheese, softened (68-72°F)
  • 184 g (13 Tbsp) salted butter, softened (68-72°F)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • 150 g (1¼ cups) powdered sugar, sifted
  • 80 ml (⅓ cup) heavy cream, very cold
  • 40 g (¼ cup) Christmas sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in Christmas sprinkles gently.
  7. Portion dough into balls on prepared baking sheets, flatten slightly.
  8. Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are set but tops remain soft.
  9. Cool cookies on wire racks before frosting.
  10. For the frosting, beat cream cheese and salted butter until smooth; add vanilla and powdered sugar gradually while mixing in heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Frost cooled cookies and add extra sprinkles.
