Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (plus more for rolling)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Roll the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and coat each ball in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar before placing them on the lined baking sheet about two inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft; allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
