  • 1 ¼ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 ½ cups light or dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 15 regular size croissants

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, cream softened butter and both sugars until smooth; add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition along with vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Slice each croissant in half and fill with about 2-3 tablespoons of cookie dough before closing them up.
  5. Place filled croissants on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 12 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool for ten minutes before dusting lightly with powdered sugar.
