- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter (cut into squares)
- 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated orange zest
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, and orange zest until smooth.
