  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 & 1/3 cups flour
  • 5 tbsp butter (for filling)
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 & 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, oil, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the room temperature egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Gradually add flour, salt, and baking powder; mix until just combined.
  5. Scoop the dough into equal balls on a lined baking sheet and flatten slightly to form bases.
  6. Create small indentations in the center of each cookie for the filling.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine filling ingredients: melted butter, brown sugar, chopped pecans, heavy cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  8. Spoon the filling into each cookie’s indentation.
  9. Bake for 8-9 minutes until lightly golden around the edges; cool before serving.
