  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 large English cucumbers
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk together vinegar, water, sugar, and salt until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Thinly slice cucumbers and onion; aim for slices between 1/16" and 1/8" thick.
  3. In a large bowl, combine sliced cucumbers and onion. Pour the cooled dressing over them and add chopped dill. Gently mix until coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
