  • 225g (1 1/2 cup) Plain / AP Flour
  • 20g (2 tbsp) Unsweetened Cacao Powder
  • 50g (1/2 cup) Icing Sugar
  • 120g (1/2 cup) Cold Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Egg (room temperature)
  • 250g (9 oz) Dark Cooking Chocolate
  • 250ml (1 cup) Thickened / Heavy Cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). In a bowl, mix flour, cacao powder, icing sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Add egg and mix to form dough.
  2. Press the dough into a tart pan and bake for 15-20 minutes until slightly golden. Allow cooling.
  3. Chop chocolate and place in a bowl. Heat cream until simmering, then pour over chocolate; let sit for 5 minutes before stirring until smooth.
  4. Pour ganache into the cooled crust and chill for at least two hours to set.
  5. Serve chilled with fresh berries or whipped coconut cream.
