  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup water (divided)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 small onion (diced)
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by whisking together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, orange zest, and half of the water until smooth.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook ground turkey until browned.
  3. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent. Mix in broccoli florets and shredded carrots.
  4. Pour in the teriyaki sauce mixture along with remaining water. Stir and simmer for about 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve over rice or noodles.
