  • 8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 110 g honey
  • 80 ml chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Coat chicken thighs with cornflour, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Add the coated chicken and cook until golden brown on one side (4-5 minutes).
  3. Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Add unsalted butter and minced garlic to the pan; reduce heat to medium until fragrant.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix honey, chicken stock, rice vinegar, and soy sauce; pour into the pan with the chicken.
  6. Bring to a boil then reduce to simmer for about 4-5 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
