Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 lb turkey bacon
  • 12 slider buns
  • Arugula or baby spinach for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into slider-sized pieces (2-3 inches square).
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Coat chicken pieces in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook marinated chicken until golden brown and fully cooked (about 4-5 minutes per side).
  4. In a saucepan, combine maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Cook turkey bacon until crisp; crumble into pieces.
  6. Assemble sliders with toasted buns: spread glaze on the bottom bun, add chicken, drizzle more glaze, top with crumbled bacon and greens if desired.
