  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable stock
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges
  • Cooked white rice, grits, or crusty bread

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, combine olive oil and butter until melted.
  2. Add diced onion, bell pepper, and celery; sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add tomato paste, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce; mix well.
