- 500g raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1.5 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- 0.5 cup water
- 3 tbsp Sriracha
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Green onions, sliced, for garnish
- Red chillies, sliced, optional
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat until shimmering.
- Add half the shrimp to the skillet, searing each side for about 45 seconds until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Lower heat to medium, add sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chilli flakes; cook until fragrant.
- Stir in water, Sriracha, soy sauce, and brown sugar; simmer for three minutes until thickened.
- Return shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce; cook for an additional two minutes until heated through.
- Serve garnished with sesame seeds, green onions, and red chillies if desired.
