  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 lb fresh sausage, casing removed
  • 1 box dried lasagna noodles
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Creole seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup parmigiano reggiano cheese, grated
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups jack cheese
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, sauté the onions, bell peppers, celery, and garlic in olive oil until softened.
  3. Add the ground turkey and sausage to the pot; cook until browned. Stir in seasonings.
  4. Mix in chicken broth, crushed tomatoes, and tomato paste; simmer for about 20 minutes until thickened.
  5. In another bowl, combine ricotta cheese with eggs and reserved seasoning mix.
  6. Layer the bottom of a baking dish with sauce, followed by lasagna noodles, ricotta mixture, meat sauce, and cheese blend. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; uncover and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let rest before serving.
