Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus extra for topping)
  • Fresh parsley and chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add bowtie pasta and cook for about 10 minutes. In the last three minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and sauté the seasoned chicken until golden brown (about 6–7 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter, then sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, zest, and optional red pepper flakes.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet along with cooked pasta and broccoli; toss to combine.
  5. Add grated Parmesan cheese and reserved pasta water as needed to achieve desired creaminess. Garnish with fresh herbs.
