  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or nuts)
  • 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it lightly.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Mix in the melted butter until well blended.
  3. Add the brown sugar, egg, and vanilla essence into the banana mixture and mix gently until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour, baking soda, and salt.
