  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 14.5 ounces petite diced tomatoes (do not drain)
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 14.5 ounces low sodium beef broth
  • 10.75 ounces tomato soup
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 bay leaves
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, sauté the ground beef with diced onion until browned. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  2. Season with salt and pepper, then stir in diced tomatoes (with juices), Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, tomato soup, and brown sugar. Simmer covered for about 20 minutes.
  3. Add elbow macaroni to the pot and stir well. Cover again and simmer for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until pasta is tender.
  4. Remove bay leaves and top with shredded cheddar cheese. Cover until cheese melts, then serve warm.
