  • 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender (for glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • 11 1/2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In another bowl, mix the sourdough starter, egg, vanilla extract, and sour cream until smooth.
  5. Fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
  6. Gently fold in halved blackberries and dried lavender.
  7. Transfer dough to a floured surface and shape into a rectangle about 1 inch thick; cut into triangles or squares.
