  • 1 cup strawberry cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 34 tablespoons milk
  • 16 oz. almond bark or vanilla flavored coating
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Gradually add cake flour, strawberry cake mix, salt, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  3. Add milk gradually until you achieve a slightly sticky dough consistency.
  4. Fold in red food coloring and sprinkles by hand until evenly distributed.
  5. Chill the dough for 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
  6. Roll into one-inch balls and place on parchment-lined cookie sheet.
  7. Melt almond bark in the microwave until smooth. Dip each truffle into the melted coating and sprinkle with additional sprinkles.
  8. Return dipped truffles to the refrigerator to set for about 30 minutes.
